Whole Green Moong Dal
Whole Moong dal is also known as green bean they are small cylindrical beans with bright green skin. These Green moong beans are very easy
to make, after boiling them they are simmered in with onion tomato tadka and flavored with different spices.
When you are tired of eating everyday dal, make this whole Green Moong dal. It is very nutritious and healthy. Moong beans are most cherished food in Ayurveda. According to Ayurveda, this is the most nutritious beans and very easy to digest.
These whole Moong beans can be eaten raw when sprouted, or could be eaten cooked with the skin on or off. But no matter how you prepare, moong dal is always tasty and an excellent source of valuable nutrients and protein. This dal is a great combination with chapattis.

1 Medium ripe tomato -chopped
1 Tablespoon fresh grated or fine chopped ginger
1 Medium green chili - chopped
2 Tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil (Butter or Ghee)

1 Teaspoon cumin seeds
1 Pinch of asafetida
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil ((Butter or Ghee)
Ingredients for Hot chili tadka:
½ Teaspoons crushed red chilies or red chili powder or to your taste
2 Tablespoons melted butter or ghee

.Directions for cooking dal:
1. In a pressure cooker add Dal and wash, changing water several times until the
water appears clear.

5. Close the lid of the pressure cooker, place the weight on the lid and cook on
medium heat.

down and cook for 5 minutes.Turn the stove off and wait until steam goes

13. When ready serve, heat Dal add chopped Coriander leaves and mix.

Tips:
1. If you wish you can skip onion tadka or any other tadka and alter Dal to your
